Fillers.

Injectable Dermal Fillers

What are dermal filler? Dermal fillers are a minimally invasive procedure that injects hyaluronic acid to diminish fine lines and increase volume in the face. As we age, our faces naturally lose subcutaneous fat. The facial muscles are then working closer to the skin surface, so smile lines and crow's feet become more apparent.

Most Common Areas of Treatment.

Marionette Lines

Marionette lines refer to the lines between the outer corners of your mouth and your jawline. By treating this area with dermal fillers we restore lost volume in the face, stimulate collagen production, and attract moisture to the area.

Tear troughs

This is the area right under your eyes. As we age, we lose the fat in our faces. One of the first places people tend to notice this is in the area under their eyes, the tear trough. This is what contributes to large bags and dark circles under people's eyes. Filling your tear troughs will brighten your under eyes and help you look more youthful and refreshed!

Lip Volume

Lip fillers are by far our most popular filler treatment. Here at The Glow Bar, we take pride in subtle enhancements. As we age, we begin to lose volume in our lips. Filler can be used to replace this volume, correct any asymmetry, and help you achieve your perfect pout!

NASOLABIAL FOLDS

The nasolabial folds are commonly called smile lines. As we age, we begin to develop deep lines from loss of fat in our faces and repeated expressions. Nasolabial folds are the lines that extend from the outer corners of the nose down to the outer corners of the mouth.

Cheek Volume

Our cheeks can flatten over time and appear hollow or shallow due to fat loss and aging. Dermal fillers replace volume in the area. Typically, a more viscous filler will be used for this treatment to create more structure and dimension.

11's

The “Elevens” refer to the lines and creases between the eyebrows. These wrinkles are caused by making facial expressions such as frowning, squinting, or even sleeping consistently on one side.  This area is best treated with a combination of fillers and wrinkle releasers.

Typical Treatment

The entire process takes about 30 mins. We will review your medical history and examine the condition to be treated. We will talk about your areas of concern and assess the face to any asymmetry. We will then clean and numb the area. Very little redness/ swelling will occur after. Bruising can also happen and is recommended not to take Advil/ ibuprofen 48 hours before.

Pre-Treatment

If you take any blood thinners or NSAIDs, you should stop them two weeks prior to injection with the approval of your prescribing doctor. One hour before your appointment, you will be asked to apply a numbing cream to the area we will be treating.

Post-Treatment

You can resume normal activity after injections immediately. The few activities to avoid are exercising and facials until the following day. You will see results in about 3-5 days.

FAQ's

Will I look overdone?

The Glow Bar prides itself on conservative measures to keep your face looking you, just more refreshed.

The great thing about fillers is you can see the volume being added during the procedure. We will always begin concervatively and can add more as desired.

How frequently will I need treatments?

Typically, treatments last from 6 months to a year! If after your first appointment desire more volume in any area of treatment, we recommend you wait at least 2-4 weeks in between sessions as to avoid any stretching or damage to the skin.

Will it hurt?

Honestly, yes. But we will provide you with numbing cream and the fillers contain lidocaine. The fact is we are injecting an acid into your skin, so you should expect to experience some discomfort.
